It has been a pleasure to partner with charity All in Sound. This year, we hosted multiple ‘Rocks and Pebbles’ days at The Ark for bereaved young people, as part of the support we offer for up to three years after their sibling has died. Through music, songwriting and crafts, these sessions helped young people process and explore their grief.
For children and adults, it can be difficult to verbally express feelings surrounding grief. Non-verbal mediums, such as music, offer an opportunity to explore emotions without having to rely on words. At the end of the session for older siblings they had created their own, brand-new song titled ‘Sometimes music speaks louder than words’.
