WHY ARE GIFTS IN WILLS SO IMPORTANT?
Gifts in Wills play a key role at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. They enable us to provide the exceptional care and fun activities that help babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell, and their families, to enjoy the time they have together

THE DIFFERENCE YOU COULD MAKE
By including a gift to Noah’s Ark in your Will, you could help us fill The Ark with laughter and light in the years to come, and you could help families in the future do things they never thought possible.
What an amazing legacy that would be.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A Will is a legally binding document that sets out how you wish your affairs to be settled after your death.
We would recommend you seek advice from a solicitor or registered Will writer when writing a Will. They will be able to talk you through the process.
There are three main types of gift that you can include in your Will:
- A share of your estate
A percentage of your estate, which is the total value of everything you own after any expenses have been paid. This is sometimes called a residuary gift.
- A cash gift
A specific sum of money, also known as a pecuniary gift.
- A specific gift
This could be an item such as a house or valued personal possession. It’s important you choose the type of gift that’s right for you and the recipient.
No. We would be delighted to receive a gift of any size. Even just 1% of your estate would make a huge difference to the babies, children and young people we care for in the future and leave 99% of your estate left over for your loved ones. Every penny of your gift – large or small – will help families make the most of every day.
No. Choosing to remember a charity in your Will is an intensely personal decision and you are under no obligation to let any of your beneficiaries know of your intentions. However, we would be thrilled if you did choose to inform us. It would be our pleasure to invite you to The Ark to see our work in action.
