Last weekend we transformed The Ark into a superhero sanctuary during our much-anticipated Super Hero Family Day. The event was proved to be a resounding success, bringing joy and smiles to all who attended.

As families arrived, they were greeted with a vibrant array of superhero-themed activities. From crafting superhero masks and capes to exploring their creativity through playdough, bead making, art and plenty of colouring, children were fully immersed in a world of imagination and fun. A particular highlight of the day was the photobooth area, where families struck their best superhero poses against a backdrop of props and decorations.

Adding to the excitement, we were thrilled to have Shaketastic join us, setting up a stall to delight families and staff with a bespoke menu featuring four superhero-themed shakes. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with one family declaring the shakes as “the best ever!”

Our talented caricaturist was also on hand, proving to be immensely popular as she captured the essence of each family. Despite the steady stream of visitors, she tirelessly sketched away, leaving families thrilled with their personalised portraits. For one family, it was a special moment as they expressed their delight at finally having a family portrait to frame and cherish forever.

The entertainment line-up added an extra layer of joy to the day, featuring Spread a Smile’s talented guitarist, Jude the fairy with her double bubble machine, and the ever-popular Spiderman. Their performances filled the air with music, bubbles, and laughter.

Overall, the Super Hero Family Day was a testament to the incredible community and support surrounding Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making the day a resounding success.
