Earlier this year we were lucky enough to welcome the team from Vinit Mehta Wealth Management to The Ark for an ‘Innovation Session.’ These sessions are a volunteer opportunity, where our corporate partners are invited to The Ark to offer their experience and expertise towards tackling some of the biggest challenges facing the charity.

This session focussed on Nurse Recruitment and Regular Giving, and we were truly overwhelmed with the ideas that came out over brainstorming and coffee.

The E-Centre, located in the grounds of  The Ark, was the location for this session. The team from Vinit Mehta commented:

“We were surprised at how homely and relaxing it was, the clinical feel you would normally get from a hospice seems to have been successfully reduced. The surroundings give you the feeling that you are in a much more rural area with a sense of peace and tranquillity.

The experience as a whole gave us a good springboard off of which to generate ideas for ways to fundraise and to recruit more nurses. We loved being able to put forward the fundraising ideas – even our ‘quite out there’ ones were considered.”

Vinit Mehta Wealth Management chose Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice as their nominated charity and have generously donated, as well as volunteering their time. Commenting on their motivations for supporting the charity, the team shared:

“Family is very important to us as parents and we wanted to support a children’s charity and one which is local to us so that we can volunteer our time more easily. When we saw the memorial butterfly garden, it really emphasised the reason we were there – to assist (in some small way) The Ark in helping children with life-threatening and limiting-conditions.”

Thank you to the whole team at Vinit Mehta Wealth Management – we are so happy to have them on board with our mission of helping children who are seriously unwell make the most of every day.
