Happy New Year! What are your aims for 2018? Do you want to see more of the world, increase your fitness levels or how about developing your skills and knowledge through volunteering? At Noah’s Ark, we’ve got a few suggestions so join us for #NewYearNewYou.
Phone a friend
According to a recent BBC News article, you are more likely to keep a New Year’s resolution if you involve other people. Committing to an event with a friend means you’re more motivated so how about buddying up for one of ours? Take a look at our Two by Two Tandem Challenge where you’ll take on a unique tandem cycle challenge through the Hertfordshire countryside. Or how about you jump behind the wheel in our Two by 2CV Rally Challenge and you could become the inaugural Noah’s Ark champions!
Improve your fitness
If you’re looking to increase your fitness then we have a couple of events that might be right up your street. How about starting off with a beautiful 10k walk or jog in the Thames Path Challenge? Or, if you’re feeling a little more adventurous there’s also a 25km, 50km and a 100km route. Maybe running is more your style – we also have a range of half marathons and marathons if you prefer something a bit faster. Or perhaps you’re more comfortable on two wheels – we have a few cycle challenges such as the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey where you’ll take on 100 miles following the route of the London 2012 Olympians and Paralympians.
Broaden your horizon
Seeing more countries and experiencing new cultures might be something you want to do more of in 2018. We have some amazing opportunities to see some of the most spectacular sights in the world this year. You could explore northern India on our India Dalai Lama Trek which culminates at the Taj Mahal, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World; or see another wonder when you trek through the stunning landscapes of Cambodia to the spectacular temple of Angkor Wat on our Cambodia Trek.
Expand your skills
Would you like to expand on your current skills such as customer service or office-based skills, would you like to learn about working with children or would you just like to meet new people and get involved in the community? Noah’s Ark can build on your current knowledge in these areas or help you learn new skills through our Volunteering scheme. Find out more and get in touch now for further details.
