Welcome to The Ark

We’ve completed the building of The Ark!

WhAt's THE ARK?

The Ark is a home-from-home for seriously unwell children. It’s an inspiring space - set on a 7.5-acre nature reserve in Barnet - for relaxation, adventure and the opportunity for children and families to connect with others facing similar challenges. It's a place where children can be children and not just patients.

WhY HAVE WE BUILT THE ARK?

Research found that there were over 1,200 children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in our catchment area, but no children’s hospice. London was crying out for the facility, so we responded to the need and The Ark was completed in 2019.

WHAT NOW?

The Ark is a hub for children’s palliative care services in our catchment area. It's a place of life and light for over 300 families who work with - and will enable us to support so many more.

Testimonials

"It is always a pleasure to volunteer for Noah's Ark! I love how much you all care about us.”

Ludovica, Noah's Ark volunteer

"I’m forever indebted to Noah’s Ark for all of the support they have given, and continue to give me and my family. Noah’s Ark is a huge part of my world, and I know they will always be there for me and my family to help in any way they can. The support they give is priceless. Without it, I know things would be different for me and my children."

Shani, mother of Kye

"The Music Therapy also helps with other fields. Through music, Kirsty encourages my son to walk and talk. She has even encouraged him to start learning sign language. Kirsty is very creative in making a bridge between different fields of therapy."
