The Goldfish Who Couldn’t Swim

We are seeking to raise £10,000 through the launch of our specially commissioned children’s poetry book, The Goldfish Who Couldn’t Swim And Other Poems written by Sue Gordon and illustrated by Stuart Brendon.

These poems are full of quirky humour about animals who find themselves in weird situations, like The Zebra Who Lost Her Stripes, The Dog Who Could Not Wag His Tail and The Shark Who Lost His Teeth. Enhanced by the bold and colourful illustrations, the book will appeal to children of all ages.

Speaking of his involvement in the project, Stuart Brendon says, “As a retired graphic designer and illustrator, I was eager to offer my professional services to Noah’s Ark. When the opportunity came up to collaborate with Sue Gordon, I was really pleased… It gives you such a great feeling to support a charity as vital as Noah’s Ark”.

Just 2,000 books are in print and are available for £5 each – these original illustrated poems will be treasured by children and adults alike. Look out for The Goldfish Who Could Not Swim at the Noah’s Ark charity shop in Barnet, or you can email fundraising@noahsarkhospice.org.uk or phone the Noah’s Ark office to buy one on 020 8449 8877.
