Noah’s Ark will be joined by celebrities Peter Capaldi, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Jessica Hynes, Madeleine Harris & Samuel Joslin for a special screening of Paddington 2, followed by a Q&A with the stars. We will be showing the smash hit film on Saturday 8 December in partnership with the Everyman Cinemas and we want you to be there too!
Most people will know Peter Capaldi as the twelfth incarnation of The Doctor in the extremely popular BBC drama Doctor Who. But join us from 3pm on 8 December at Everyman Cinema in Muswell Hill and you will see Peter play Mr Curry, the mean spirited next door neighbour to the Brown family in the live action animated comedy film Paddington 2.
“There are more than 1,200 children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in North and Central London. Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice’s new state-of-the-art building will give babies and children who are seriously unwell the time and space to be children, not just patients. I’m proud to help raise funds and the profile of such an important cause.”
Alongside Peter, Sanjeev Bhaskar will also be joining us for the Q&A panel. Sanjeev is the star of the BBC Two sketch comedy series Goodness Gracious Me and the sitcom The Kumars. See Sanjeev play Doctor Jafri, another of Paddington’s neighbours in the worldwide hit family film Paddington 2.
“I am delighted to attend this film screening to support Noah’s Ark, a fantastic organisation that does wonderful work in supporting young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families, while encouraging individuals to give up their time to volunteer. You can help transform a child’s life and help families share more precious moments by helping build and sustain The Ark.”
Joining Peter and Sanjeev is Jessica Hynes. Jessica plays Miss Kitts in the film; the local news seller who is never without her parrot friend Feathers. Jessica is an actress and writer and was one of the creators, writers and stars of the British sitcom Spaced.
We will also be welcoming Samuel Joslin and Madeleine Harris – who return as brother and sister Jonathan and Judy Brown – to our special screening of Paddington 2. You may recognise Samuel and Madeleine from the original Paddington film back in 2014.
The much anticipated sequel to the original Paddington begins in Windsor Gardens where Paddington is happily settled with the Brown family. He has become a popular member of the local community and is content spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes. After picking up a series of odd jobs to buy the perfect present for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, he notices the gift has been stolen. But who? Why? Where? It’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief.
Help us unmask the thief at our very special screening. Thanks to the fantastic partnership with Everyman Cinemas, all profits from this screening will go directly to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. So join us for a spectacular evening of popcorn, Paddington and celebrities. Don’t forget your marmalade sandwiches!
Buy your tickets now and get thinking of those burning questions you’ve always wanted to ask the stars of Paddington 2! You can even send them to us in advance in case you forget or you’re a bit shy and don’t want to ask at the event. Or, if you’re unable to come along, then why not send in your questions anyway? We’ll ask them on your behalf (dependent on time) and let you know what the answers were after the event. Just tweet @noahsarkhospice or email email@example.com
