Location
Noah’s Ark supports families living in the London boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Camden and Islington, and Hertsmere. We appreciate as much flexibility as possible and will take on board volunteers’ preferences regarding location when sending out hairdressing requests.
Time commitment
Regular or occasional basis, as preferred (depending on personal preference and the needs of the families).

Are you a qualified hairdresser wanting to give back and help our families? Its the small things that make the biggest difference.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Living with a child’s diagnosis can place considerable strain on the whole family, and coping with the constant demands of care often means parents/carers’ needs get dropped to the bottom of their list. A good hair cut can raise someone’s self-esteem and could be hugely impactful on their wellbeing.
We are looking for volunteers with a range of hairdressing experiences and backgrounds; including working with a variety of hair types, male and female clients and children.
Noah’s Ark take their responsibility for safeguarding the wellbeing of children seriously. This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Application. 2 references are also required.
