Children’s Hospice Bank Nurse

BANK ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for Bank Nurses to work within our Specialist Care Team, facilitating clinical and
holistic care for the seriously unwell babies, children and young people in our care. You will be
working in our Woodlands inpatient unit, our families’ homes and in the community delivering the
highest quality family centred palliative and respite care. We ae looking to fill a variety of shifts
across a rota including days, evenings and weekends.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a RNC/RSCN/RNLD with paediatric experience, or an RGN (adult nurse) with significant
experience and clinical competencies achieved working with babies, children and young
people, looking for a flexible opportunity to provide quality care to babies, children and young
people with palliative and complex care needs.
You will be experienced in providing total care needs for children with tracheostomies, who are
ventilator dependent, or have complex symptom management plans including subcutaneous
infusions.
You will have knowledge and experience of caring for children and their families and are able to
communicate sensitively, putting the needs of our children at the centre of everything you do to
create a safe and positive environment.
