Over the past couple of months, The Ark – our new children’s hospice building – has been growing daily. Only a couple of weeks ago we celebrated the first brick being laid and now we’re excited to announce that the main atrium is taking shape.
The new hospice will have a central space with the entrance opening into a reception for visitors with a café and social areas for families to meet. It will be made using massive oak beams and columns forming an atrium. Carpenter Oak,who has constructed this incredible structure, has been working on it in their workshops for 12 weeks, ensuring all pieces are 100% accurate before transporting it to Barnet.
