There's lots to be done and you can still raise money for Noah's Ark.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is facing a fight for its future, with over £2million in potential lost income this year due to coronavirus. Help us to continue our care for seriously unwell babies, children and their families by taking part in your own fundraising event.
There are lots of mini challenges and virtual events that you can do with ease and it doesn't take long at all. Have a look at some of these suggestions and see what takes your fancy. Will you get crafty? Have a declutter? Or will you be inspired to come up with your own idea?
VIRTUAL CRAFTING: Why not take it in turns with your friends to host a Virtual Crafting session! Each week pick something new to create and ask everyone for a donation in return. If you need some inspiration of things to make using everyday objects you might have around the house, check out 50 Easy Crafts to Make and Sell and see how creative you can all get!
DECLUTTER YOUR HOME: Now is the perfect time for a clear out. Empty those cupboards and wardrobes and sell your unwanted items on Ebay, donating all the money raised to Noah’s Ark.
VIRTUAL MOVIE NIGHT: Pick your favourite film on Netflix and download the Netflix Party app which synchronises video playback and adds group chat to your favourite Netflix film. Ask everyone to donate what they would have spent on going to the cinema.
GREAT VIRTUAL BAKE OFF: Don your apron and bring your friends and family together for a Great Virtual Bake Off competition taking it in turns to create your favourite bakes weekly on Zoom and scoring everyone’s creations. Ask everyone to donate £5 for taking part.
SHARE A SKILL: Lots of extra time on your hands? Why not Share a Skill?!?! Can you carry out an exercise class, run a talk or workshop on a specialist topic or host a meditation session? You could even host a virtual concert if you sing or pay an instrument. Do this for Noah’s Ark on Facebook or Instagram Live asking for people to donate in return.
TEACH PHILANTHROPY: Incorporate a Philanthropy Home-School Class into your child’s home-schooling lessons. Teach your children about the importance of philanthropy and altruism, getting them to come up with their own virtual fundraisers. Why not start a friendly competition with your child’s classmates, whoever raises the most money for Noah’s Ark wins!
